Ben Glaetzer, a Roseworthy graduate, grew up within the wine
industry commencing his career working as a cellarhand at Barossa Valley Estate and then Winemaker at Tyrrell's. He has travelled and worked extensively throughout the world's wine regions and is now based in the Barossa Valley where he makes the wines for Glaetzer as well as being winemaker and principal shareholder of Heartland Wines from the Limestone Coast and Langhorne Creek, Heartland and Mitolo from McLaren Vale. Ben's ability to implement traditional winemaking techniques with a modern flair is reflected in such wines as Glaetzer's single vineyard Barossa Valley wine Amon-Ra.
Colin has been made a »Baron of the Barossa« for his contribution to the cultural fabric of the Barossa Valley. Life membership of this wine fraternity is by invitation only.
